—[BEGINNING OF TRANSCRIPT] [Maria Ngo] And we’re back on the red carpet for another VIP Mastercast event. With me are guest experts, doctor Karen and doctor Darwin Perkins, who are the happily married husband and wife team. Am I right? [Dr. Karen Perkins] Oh absolutely. [Dr. Darwin Perkins] Absolutely. [Dr. Karen Perkins] We’re happily ever after. Why? Cuz I get to be with you every day. [Maria Ngo] That’s so sweet. Now you guys are actually known as the happily ever after experts. [Maria Ngo] That’s a mouthful. So what does that really mean? [Dr. Karen Perkins] Well, happily every after it’s a fairy tale we hear, but there is a way to get there. But there’s a truth behind the glass slipper. And the fairy tale is not necessarily true and you don’t get to it from the fairy tales tell you. And we all want the fairy tale life, so we help you get there. [Maria Ngo] Okay, that sounds really good. So, I want to ask you, doctor D as I often call you, right? Doctor D. So tell me about the happily ever after this day in the workplace. [Dr. Darwin Perkins] Okay, that almost sounds wrong. I mean, are you suppose to go to your job everyday, just being excited about being there and, you know pollyanna and, no, that just, no, I’m sorry. I don’t do that, I don’t know why anybody else should. But the thing that we have found over and over again is as people become more happy in the workplace, everything happens right. The work gets done better, the corporation does better, the CEO loves you because you’re doing the kinds of things that make the corporation better. And even more important, the goodwill that you get from your customers is incredible because they have this feeling, they understand that you actually do care and that you enjoy what you’re doing and you really want them to be a customer. [Maria Ngo] Well tell me then, about some of the companies that you’ve worked with cuz you both have worked with some amazing, successful companies. [Dr. Darwin Perkins] Yes we have fortune 500 companies. We’ve worked with small companies, don’t get me wrong, but we’ve also worked with the medium size and the large companies. I’ve personally worked with Boeing and Lockheed and State of Arizona. I just finished with North Carolina State and wonderful people. And they all have the same thing in common, I think, and that’s that they were told somewhere along the way that business isn’t suppose to be fun. [Dr. Karen Perkins]That’s true, that’s true. [Dr. Darwin Perkins] And if you just, you reset a little bit, and we know how to do that. We call ourselves personal reset expert also. It really is a personal reset. As you change your attitude, and you change the attitude of the team around you, everything starts to work much, much smoother. That’s what we do. [Maria Ngo] Well there’s one thing that I know for sure, that if you want to bring a little fun to your company, and some joy and happiness, you gotta leave it up to doctor K and doctor D Right? [Dr. Karen Perkins] That is the truth! [END OF TRANSCRIPT]
